Grubb Properties Expands Volunteer Support for Habitat for Humanity

Grubb Properties has a longstanding partnership with Habitat for Humanity. It reflects our passion for bringing people together with homes they love and underscores our commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work.

Since 2018, we’ve sponsored and built homes with Habitat for Humanity in Winston-Salem, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, and Lexington in North Carolina, as well as in Greenville, South Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2024, the Grubb Giving Committee worked with Habitat for Humanity to identify the organization’s needs for projects in each market where we have a presence. We expanded our approach, creating more volunteer opportunities for team members across all our corporate and community locations. Instead of focusing on a single full house build in a single location, we are now supporting Habitat for Humanity in every location where our company has a corporate office or an apartment community. This has given us the opportunity to collaborate with multiple local Habitat chapters and participate in volunteer days. By lending support across multiple locations, every Grubb Properties team member can make a meaningful difference in their respective communities and embody our guiding principle of Creating Community.

Recent team activities have included build days in Greenville and Chapel Hill, as well as Wake County, North Carolina. Upcoming events include a house build date in Charlotte.

Volunteering is an important part of the Grubb Properties culture. Every Grubb Properties employee receives up to 48 hours of paid time off to dedicate to volunteer activities. Many devote these hours to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

We extend our sincere thanks to all team members and our partners who have sponsored the Grubb Giving Committee and our Habitat for Humanity builds over the years.
